Signs by the Universe

  Do you believe in the signs  I do Sometimes I wonder how my life would have been if it was any other way... So the first week of May is ‘heavy’ for all of us at home... celebrating someone’ birthday who is not with us and then knowing what follows 4 days later is even more painful. This week the days after my mum’ bday have been comparatively bearable I have managed to keep my head out of the pillow and not soak it wet...  I was doing some monthly groceries of the usual dals, pulses oils detergents etc... I randomly clicked on a few more items while talking to Anand n something caught my eye, even though I am super particular about skin care products this thing got picked and I forgot all about it.  What are the odds...  It’s a soap which is white (purity) in color and its all heart (heart shaped) AND its got the fragrance of Jasmine  (my mum’ fav)  These messages and signs from the universe keeps us going in life urging us to move forward.....my mum...even though I wish I could hug

Mamma, am celebrating your birthday, am celebrating you..... Am celebrating your kind, large, golden heart..... I love you mamma You have taught me "to love" You are so loving, so giving...you still give and I can feel your presence always always....... Am celebrating how you expressed your love....how you gave to one & all whether it is untimely guests/ servants who came to you with their troubles, you soothed everyone with that big smile of yours & something to eat & drink. Whether sending tea & biscuits to the tired labourers working in the building compound or making ginger tea for your maid who is sneezing profusely in the rains. I am lucky to have seen you do all these things mamma, I am so proud of you. Any family visitor/ guests/ non related family friends.....Your heart & home was open to all. Sending food to the acquaintance in hospital post her delivery or sending home made ladoos to her toddler..... These kids today miss you li

People skills

We all have our days...some days we feel on top of the world some days we don't.... There are all sorts of people in this world.... There are times when we have the best of people around us...a stranger at a mall, the gardener in a nursery who smiles & is so happy to show you around...you realize there are so many who are doing such a fantastic job, they are been handcrafted and send into that situation in your life to make one have FAITH.  You may have a sweet lady at the supermarket who may be more than happy to give you her review of the jam you are contemplating about or the one who suggests which south Indian pre - packed snacks (Rajam snacks) are just perfect for us.... You cope up with grief by gardening & cooking rather baking....you make new friends with common interest...you come across warm hearted souls who have not seen you nor heard your voice nor know you but UNDERSTAND you.  You may be naive at selecting brinjals for supper until a Burkha clad la

Sometimes all we need is stillness -- then everything becomes clear.

There are moments in life that we need to walk away from everything. To just go and be still with our thoughts, our feelings. To be an observer of our life. To leave behind judgements, expectations and  simply let our thoughts flow freely as an afternoon breeze. Too often we are been who we feel we are meant to be  that sometimes we get lost outside of who we want to be. Take time to witness who you are so that you can make sure, it is, who you want to be.
